HIGH FIVE® Receives Prestigious CPRA Partnership Award

Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) has awarded HIGH FIVE® as the recipient of the 2016 CPRA Partnership award. This announcement was made Thursday, March 30th at the 2017 Parks and Recreation Ontario (PRO) Educational Forum and Trade Show in Huntsville, ON. This award recognizes national and provincial sector partners whose collaboration, creativity, and innovation, enriches individual health and community well-being and enhances the parks and recreation community in Canada.

Since launch in 2001, HIGH FIVE has grown to reach more than 1 million children having positive experiences annually.  More than 100,000 people have taken Principles of Healthy Child Development training, giving them the knowledge and resources to provide positive experiences for children. More than 10,000 Supervisors have taken QUEST 2 and have conducted QUEST 2 assessments ensuring program quality. The HIGH FIVE National Network includes over 400 Registered Organizations across Canada and 20 Accredited Organizations. Accreditation is an additional multi-step process, through which HIGH FIVE Organizations demonstrate their commitment to kids by going above and beyond to achieve the highest level of excellence for quality assurance in children’s programs.
